-1 onion, chopped

-3 garlic cloves, minced

-2 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

-½ cup milk or cream

10 ounces baby spinach leaves or 2 bunches of fresh spinach leaves (5 to 6 cups), thinly sliced
